Several years before old Uncle Frank became Uncle Frank, he regulalry hitch-hiked home from college. One of the things he looked forward to was stopping by Dog-N-Suds in Harrisburg, Illinois as he passed through town. That location is long gone (as are most of them) but recently, we discovered that their root beer lives on, in glass bottles (no HFCS) and available at your local BevMo. Needless to say, it's now the default root beer here at La Casa Weenie...
