2) Professor Bruce Kraig's new book "Man Bites Dog" (Hot Dog Culture in America) by Altamira Press is out now and we have a copy in our hot little hands. I haven't had a chance to read it yet (I'm up to my armpits in Social Security's alligator pit, as usual), but it's a beautiful, comprehensive book with loads of great color photos by the Professor's collaborator / co-author Patty Carroll.
It's 191 pages, with 5 major sections including Lore & History, Democratic Food & Popular Culture, Hot Dog People, Emporia and Doggie Styles. The last section includes a number of recipes and we hope to try a few of them in the next couple of weeks.
